We’ve released WP Travel Engine v6.0.4, packed with exciting updates.
As usual, this update includes new features and bug fixes to enhance your travel booking website.
What’s new in WP Travel Engine v6.0.4.
1. Multiple Date Selection Modes in the Date Picker
Previously, admins could only set individual fixed starting dates for trips. Now, they can select date ranges (e.g., August 10-20, September 1-10) for multiple starting options.
However, this requires an add-on – Fixed Starting Dates.
2. Disabling Booking Notifications
We’ve added an option to turn off admin booking notification emails.
How can you disable booking notifications?
- In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the WP Travel Engine > Settings.
- Now, go to Emails and click on the Admin Email Templates tab.
- Here, find the Disable Booking Notification option and enable the toggle.
- Click the Save button to apply your changes.
3. Days and Nights on the Single Trip Page
In the single trip page, we’ve added functionality to show trip duration in Days and Nights format. Now, you have two options: You can show it in Days or Days and Nights format, as you need.
How can you enable it?
- In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the WP Travel Engine > Settings.
- Now, go to Display and click on the Single Trip tab.
- Here, find the Trip Duration and select the Days and Nights format.
- Then, click the Save button to apply your changes.
Bug Fixes
- The Cut-off time feature, which is used to block customers from booking a trip before its defined starting date, is now working efficiently.
- Compact and Breeze layouts of the booking widget now work correctly with FSE themes.
- Customers can now see specific age ranges (e.g., adult: 16-30, child: 13-16) set by the website admin when booking a trip.
- The validation for minimum and maximum participants during trip booking has been corrected.
- Trashed trip durations are now excluded from the trip duration filter.
- Updated the wpml-config.xml for better plugin strings’ translations.
- Updated LinkedIn SDK for social login.
What are we building next?
1. Compact Layout Option for Booking Widget
We’ll be adding more settings to the pricing widget layouts for smaller devices. For example, you’ll be able to include a WhatsApp icon in the pricing widget to facilitate easy communication.
2. New Interface for Single Trip Page Backend
We’re revamping the backend interface of the trip pages to make it more user-friendly.
Please note that this improvement might be released only after the upcoming one or two updates.
3. Performance Improvements
We’re continuing to improve the performance of the WP Travel Engine. This improvement aims to make the trip pages faster and offer a smoother user experience.
