In our last update, we shared that we were working on a new interface for the single trip page backend, and it’s now available in v6.1.0!
This refreshed interface provides a more organized and user-friendly experience. Plus, we’ve included other important updates and bug fixes.
What’s New in WP Travel Engine v6.1.0?
1. Revamped Interface of Single Trip Page Backend
Previously, the trip settings interface was cluttered, with multiple tabs and a complex navigation structure that wasn’t very visually appealing.
We’ve refreshed the interface to make it look more professional and user-friendly. Now, the interface is:
- Cleaner and more organized
- Modern and visually appealing
- Easier to navigate
- More intuitive
In addition to the new user interface, we’ve also introduced several new functionalities to the single trip page:
i. Search Bar Functionality Added
We’ve introduced a Search bar in the Trip Settings interface. This feature allows you to quickly find settings across all tabs, helping you locate what you need without scrolling through each one.
ii. Replaced Rich Editor with Block Editor
We’ve replaced the rich text editor with a Block Editor across all tabs.
This new editor provides you with greater flexibility and control over content presentation. As a result, you can achieve a more polished and professional look for your site.
2. Enhanced Trip Package Type Setting
In v6.1.0, we’ve improved the trip package type in the Trip Settings with the following updates:
- Default Primary Package: Admins can now set a default primary package type to be highlighted on the live site.
- Price Display: The trip price will reflect the chosen primary package, ensuring accurate pricing.
- Customer Options: During booking, customers can still select other package types if they wish.
Additionally, package details are now available on both the admin and user booking dashboards. This makes managing and reviewing bookings easier by directly providing all relevant package information on the dashboards.
3. New Feature – Expand All button for Itinerary Block
We’ve improved the “Expand All” button in the itinerary block, allowing you to view the entire itinerary in one go easily.
Additionally, you now have the option to adjust typography, alignment, and color for enhanced customization.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the date format issue in the booking modal so it now works correctly.
- Resolved the issue with thumbnail images being deleted when updating taxonomy details in Quick Edit.
What are we building next?
As we’ve completed revamping the interface for the single trip page, our next focus will be redesigning the WP Travel Engine’s main settings interface.
We’ll also continue working on other bug fixes and enhancements to improve the plugin further.
