What’s New in Trip Fixed Starting Dates Add-on v2.4.0
1. Revamped Interface
The Trip Fixed Starting Date addon has gotten a complete design makeover.
The new design offers a modern, user-friendly interface that makes managing travel dates easier.
Additionally, the new layout has been implemented in both the Gutenberg block editor and Elementor Widgets for consistent user experience
Note: To fully benefit from these new features, please ensure the WP Travel Engine plugin and the Trip Fixed Starting Date add-on are updated to the latest versions. Additionally, you also need to update the WP Travel Engine-Elementor Widget to its latest version.
2. New Feature – Exclude Dates
We’ve introduced a new feature to give you more control over your booking calendar – Exclude Dates.
You can now block specific dates or date ranges from being available for bookings across all trips on your website. There’s also a “Repeat Yearly” option for holidays or recurring events, so you don’t have to update them every year.
How to block specific dates for all trips:
To exclude dates globally, you can go to your WordPress dashboard.
- Navigate to WP Travel Engine > Settings.
- Click on the Extensions > Fixed Starting Dates.
- Under the Exclude Dates section, you’ll find the option to block specific or ranges.
- Click Save Setting to apply your changes.
For more flexibility, you can also exclude dates for individual trips as needed in the Date and Price section.
3. New Feature – Private Trip
Another exciting addition is the Private Trip feature. It allows your users to inquire about trips if the available dates don’t suit their plans.
This lets them request their preferred travel dates directly from you.
How to configure a private trip:
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to the WP Travel Engine > Settings.
- Now, navigate to Extensions > Fixed Starting Dates.
- Under the Private Trip section, you can add a description and form.
- Click Save Setting to apply your changes.
Note: To fully utilize these new features, please ensure the core plugin and the Trip Fixed Starting Date addon are updated to the latest versions.
